About us
Our school was officially opened on 07/05/2007. we are private, international, co-education, day and boarding schools in Arusha offering a well equipped Tanzanian curriculum, situated on two purpose built campuses in the residential suburb of SokonI, our school have pleasant and spacious grounds with excellent facilities to cater for the intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth of our students.
Brief history; Mr. Haruna Kakiva is the founder and managing director of Nakido Schools. On 7th may 2007 he began Nakido kindergatten as an outgoing concern. The kindergarten was exclusively run by ex-parties of different origins. .
In 2008 the primary school started where the Tanzania education system was being taught as required for by the government. The primary school was under full supervision of Mr. Maina as the head master.
From 2013 Nakido Secondary School was built in sokonI area. By that time preparatory school was gradually growing to an international recognized institution having the third grade seven graduating under the courtesy of Mr. Maina as the headmaster.
In 2014 the Nakido’s family bought a further accomodation facilities from the neighborhood next to the school campuses.

Application Process
Admissions to Nakido School involves a 3 step process, designed to insure that the applicant is a good match for Nakido School and has a reasonable chance of academic success, given the high intellectual standards and academic expectations of an international school. Please note that Nakido School does not currently have support programmes for students with special learning needs or with specific learning disabilities.
All applicants must be tested for academic aptitude and English language proficiency. Upper Primary and Secondary student applicants must in general have C (70%) or higher grade point average, to be considered for admissions. For students entering for IGCSE (Y10, Y11) or A level (Y12 or Y13) additional admissions standards are required, including at least 5 core courses with grades of C or higher.
Step 1 – Completion of application form and submission of previous academic records (including standardised examination records when these are available). For any and all applicants an admissions fee of $20 USD is required to begin processing the application.
Step 2 – Assessment (for Lower Primary students this also often involves an individual or group interview)
Step 3 – Final Interview with Primary Principal (for Primary students only) or with the Secondary Principal or Headmaster (for Secondary students only)
